Sometimes we just need to be reminded!
A well-known speaker started off his seminar byholding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?"
Hands started going up.
He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this.
He proceeded to crumple up the $20 bill and He then asked, "Who s till wants it"
Still the hands were up in the air.
Well, he replied, "What if I do this?"
And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe.
He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. Now, who still wants it?"
Still the hands went into the air.
My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson.
No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we
make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless.
But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.
Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased,
You are still priceless to those who DO LOVE you.
The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know,
but by WHO WE ARE and WHOSE WE ARE.
You are special -Don't EVER forget it."
Count your blessings, not your problems.
And remember:
Amateurs built the ark .. professionals built the Titanic.
If God brings you to it - He will bring you through it.

Tick Removal
Tick Removal
Spring will be here soon and the ticks will soon be showing their heads. Here is a good way to get them off you, your children, or your pets. Give it a try. Please forward to anyone with children... or hunters or dogs, or anyone who even steps outside in summer!!
A School Nurse has written the info below -- good enough to share -- And it really works!! I had a pediatrician tell me what she believes is the best way to remove a tick. This is great, because it works in those places where it's some times difficult to get to with tweezers: between toes, in the middle of a head full of dark hair, etc.
Apply a glob of liquid soap to a cotton ball. Cover the tick with the soap-soaked cotton ball and swab it for a few seconds (15-20), the tick will come out on its own and be stuck to the cotton ball when you lift it away. This technique has worked every time I've used it (and that was frequently), and it's much less traumatic for the patient and easier for me. Unless someone is allergic to soap, I can't see that this would be damaging in any way. I even had my doctor's wife call me for advice because she had one stuck to her back and she couldn't reach it with tweezers. She used this method and immediately called me back to say,
"It worked!"

Successful Fishing Retreat
Report from Brother Dave on recent Fishing Retreat
Dickie G and Bill L were a God-send as they took over the dressing of the catfish: we could not have made it without their constant assistants. Ray C and his young 7 year old son came. Most of the catch was 3/4 lb catfish; several weighed 2 lbs and the largest was 3+ lbs; a few monster bream and maybe 20 bass in the 2 lbs range; very few crappie and 1 mud cat Final count for Palmer Home was 11 young men : mostly in the 7-11 age and most of those came for the outing not fishing Blake M was chef: excellent meals and ample food he did not have any assistance but never complained Shannon H and Chuck M did an awesome task of recruiting fathers for the boys
